Reading targets this is what I did to read them faster and accurately

2006-03-08 by eieiomoomooheremoomoothere

For what it's worth...

When reading targets, I turn the printed target sheet so I am reading
them from top to bottom as opposed to left to right.

Then I took some white gaffers tape and cut it to about 4mm wide and
20mm long making a thin white stripe. I put this on the side of the
Spectrocolorimeter head, so now I have a reference as to where the
head is lined up on the sheet. I put three of these white stripes on
the Spectrocolorimeter head one on the left, right and top.

OK, I know what your thinking yeah it looks like a zebra (LOL) but, I
find I am able to read a 255 target sheet in 6min or less.

Also I found the Spectrocolorimeter did not move smoothly on some
papers so I put some Teflon stickers on the feet of the
Spectrocolorimeter. Then I cut some Teflon stickers in 1mm strip and
about 5mm long and put them on the around the head of the
Spectrocolorimeter making sure then were in no way interfering with
the measurements of the targets. I find the Spectrocolorimeter now
glides with minimal effort and is much faster and more accurate.

Also I would like to add I am extremely happy with PrintPIX Pro.

Keep up all the good work,
Brian
