I recently posted an item on the DPReview Forums asking about people's experience with the subject NEC monitor. One question delt with the use of the Spyder2 colorimeter to profile the monitor. Below is the response that I received from a person associated with NEC. David Tobie (or anyone else), any comments? While the Spyder2 is supported by the SpectraView software, it is not actually recommended to use this device on the LCD2690 because of measurement errors due to the wide color gamut of this display. The preferred measurement device is the X-Rite iOne Display v2. -- Will Hollingworth Manager of OEM Product Design & Development Engineering NEC Display Solutions of America, Inc.
