Re: LCD Moniter Calibration with SpyderPro 2.2 - DVI or Analog

2007-11-18 by tech4x5

--- Thanks for the reply. BTW...I just love the PrintFix and
SpyderPro software. Could you please clarify a few details for me.
The following is my understanding of the profiling process. Please
correct me if I am wrong in any of these steps.

1.The first thing I do is make my print profiles with PrintFix Pro.

2.Then I hook up my moniter with the DVI connection

3.Using Spyder2Pro,I calibrate my moniter using the moniter's default
settings. I use the settings of gamma of 2.2 and a white point of
6500K in the Spyder2Pro software calibration.

4.Is there any reason to meaure the visual luminace using the
colorimeter or meausure the ambient light using the software?

5. What do I do if I need to tweak the moniter profile to get it to
better match the print I've made with my custom profiles? Do I
adjust gamma and white point settings in the Spyder software and
recalibrate?

6.Could you please be more specific as how to adjust the white
luminance?

Thanks again,
Matthew Kraus
