Re: [colorvision_group] PrintFix Pro: how to print a target from Photoshop CS instead of PFP?

2007-12-02 by David Miller

I just bought and downloaded PrintFix Pro and I'm having trouble understanding how to turn off color management when printing a target from this program.

Instead I printed a target from Photoshop CS, using these settings:

When I first opened the TIF file in Photoshop, it asked me to select a missing color space; I selected "leave as is (don't color manage)"

That's correct.
I then select "Print with Preview" and in the Print Space menu, I selected "Same as source"

That's also correct. (In CS3, that setting is labelled differently, but
doing it that way in the older CS is right).

Then in the my Epson R2400 printer menu, for color management, I selected ICM, then Off (no color adjustment) and also selected the paper tray, media type and print quality settings.

That's all correct, good!
Is this the proper way to print my target from Photoshop? I've done it this way before when I've paid someone for a profile and had to send them a target.

Perfect; you should get a nice, dark, target print that way.

Best regards,
