Please watch the videos at: http://spyder.datacolor.com/learn_videos.php To see how you should be printing the targets, turning off color management in the printer drivers, etc. You -don't- want to print the targets through color controls in the Epson driver... And with no color management, you should get a nice, saturated, dark target print and should be able to build a good profile from the measurements.
