PC to Mac

2008-06-02 by joaniesanchirico

I just got a mac book pro. Have been using PrintFix Pro on my PC and have lots of profiles
made.

Have a couple of questions:
1. How do I get the program loaded on my Mac? or should I?

I never upgraded when the updates came out in October. I thought I'd be getting the new
computer right away (took a bit longer than expected) so I didn't want to play around until
I switched. I do remember that you had to uninstall the original version first before
upgrading. So I need the most recent version then.

2. Will my print profiles still work or do I have to redo them?

I'm finding out that this migration isn't as painless as I was lead to believe it would be! But
I got tired of Photoshop crashing my pc all the time and needed more memory and hard
drive space anyway. It's just taking longer than expected to get everything set up the way I
need it.

3. Right now I'm using the mac book pro screen, can you calibrate that or should I? I did a
test print on my Epson 7800 and the color is obviously way off.

Thanks!
