Basically, if you are happy with what you've got, thats great; if you > want increased speed, accuracy, and convenience, then look at S3Elite. C. D., Thanks for the short course. I went to the site and read the comparisons. I decided that some of the Elite's features might prove to be very useful now and in the longer term. My Spyder3Elite arrived yesterday. I just ran the first calibrations on the two monitors I use with PC's. Both calibrations were completed very quickly, with a smoother interface than the Spyder2Pro. I am looking forward to the rapid "Recal" feature. I haven't yet calibrated the monitor on my G5 but assume it will go as smoothly. One question though. I am assuming (a dangerous thing) that I should leave the Spyder3Elite connected to my main photoprocessing computer so that it can monitor ambient conditions. For the other two machines, I am guessing that if the ambient conditions are stable and remain the same as during calibration that the colorimeter not being connected will not be an issue.
