Hello, My 3800 uses 8 working inks at one time. The K7 uses seven inks and has a cleaning fluid in the LLK position. So if I were to replace the Piezo cleaning fluid in the LLK position with a light tone Piezo ink I should then be able to use Spyder3 Print to profile the Piezo K7 inks correctly using the 225 patches? I did some profile on the K3 inks that worked fine and am now trying to use the K7 to profile some additional papers that I do not have profile for. Is the 225 patches the best to use for this black and white combination or would one of the other patches or the including the black and white patches be a better choice? Thanks for your help. That means that you need to have in in all ink channels, and you need to have appropriate splits in all split ( light/dark) channels. It doesnt mean you have to have the right colors in the right slots, or colors at all, but the rules above have to be followed for an inkset to qualify as RGB profilable through the driver. If not, you would need to create curves or proprietary profiles with other software, for use with a RIP instead. C. D. Tobie WW Product Technology Mngr.
