In my case it's not a screensaver that is the problem (I just want it to go dark so my dog can get to sleep :-)), it is the system going to standby. The utility has NEVER been able to run correctly without setting up my system to NEVER go to standby. At the present time, the system is set to "turn off monitor" then "turn off hard disks" but NEVER go to standby. This is through the Display Property; Power Schemes" option on Windows. And that worked OK until the revision. Now, as I said in my earlier email, the system will not go dark until I deactivate any LUT settings/checking, which I consider bad software (as one who goes back to punch cards & Fortran). As it is, when I work on my photographs I re-activate everything, take an ambient light reading, and go on with my job. But why do I have to waste that time? And, no, it's not a big deal, but the rest of my software does NOT have this problem, so why does yours? I've been your customer for longer than I care to remember, but some of the newbies who are evaluating your system, and may not be as "computer literate" as others, may dismiss Datacolor as defective. If I were in management, I'd be concerned. Fortunately, I'm retired and loving it. pjs "Computer photography won't be photography as we know it. I think photography will always be chemical." I have to ask what the concern over screensavers is, in the age when they don't save anything? C. David Tobie WW Product Technology Manager Digital Imaging & Home Theater Datacolor Inc.
