Not being snide, just collecting information. We'll be looking into this, once we have some parameters on it, like how important it is, and how often it happens.I'm puzzled by your response - don't know if you genuinely find it interesting or if you are being snide.

Subject: [colorvision_group] Re: Spider3Utility and Screen saver
I'm puzzled by your response - don't know if you genuinely find it interesting or if you are being snide. In any, case your comment ignores the point of why one should not dismiss the use of screensavers. What is the point of saying "all users on LCD displays"? The number of people using LCD displays is no proof that LCD monitors are capable of displaying a wide color gamut. Some LCDs are capable of wide/extended/enhanced gamut display, many are not. Your comment suggests that you are not aware of the limited gamut display capabilities of many LCD monitors, but I assume you know more than your comment suggests. I was about to buy one and LCD, then decided to wait until I managed to straighten out the calbration issues on my new Vista 64 system. I have been putting off buying an LCD until the gamut issue, input lag was addressed. (BTW the the 2nd xbitlabs article has an informative view on the validity of input lag) This recent xbitlabs review starts out with a good primer on extended gamut displays and calibration. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/monitors/display/samsung-sm-xl24- xl30.html Another, slightly out of date xbitlabs article. "Contemporary LCD Monitor Parameters: Objective and Subjective Analysis" http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/monitors/display/lcd-parameters.html tftcentral.com is a good place to get info on the actual gamut of LCDs, and also color calibration options. http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/ --- In colorvision_group@yahoogroups.com, Cdtobie wrote: > > That's interesting to hear: I'm seeing virtually all users on LCD > these days, especially those interested in wide gamut color. > > C.
