You are doing this in some manner that assures the profile LUTs are  
loaded along with the profile? Such as Profile Chooser?

White can't be too bright with projection (by definition). So it  
sounds like its your midtones that are too light. Send me a copy of  
the profile (to me, not this list!) and I'll take a look at it.  Also  
check the checkbox for making other versions of your profile, and try  
using those versions.
