the monitors are both dell 2408wfp. the software provided and preloaded is the ati software. i've not found any problems so far with having the ati software loaded and achieving a good profile.
i've yet to dive into profiling my hp9180 printer on vista64. the prints from it are consistently shifted slightly to the red as they were in winxp. more work to do there.
the reason for asking about alternatives for rotating the screen were to avoid having the ati utility loaded at all.
the 2408wfp has no sensor for an "autorotate" feature. perhaps i should google around for a piece of software which has rotation only as a feature. digging around in the ati utility when we want to rotate the screen is a pain.
