Spyder3Pro has an ambient light function that allows you to measure the light in your work area, and defines a target which will adjust the display adjustment to be appropriate to that ambient light level. So you can adjust your display brightness with Spyder3Pro, you just can't adjust it numerically, as you can with Spyder3Elite. Most Pro users aren't particularly comfortable with Candelas per Meter Squared, so we try to make it as simple and effective as possible for them. C.
