hey, i had the same issues before and after upgrading to 4.0 software. i've played around with RGB settings and Kelvin, it helped a bit but colors are still not true. i have this reddish/pinkish effect after calibration. when i restore my dell 3008wfp to factory settings it goes away. I've done that as well as Gamma 2.2 - 6500 recommended and brightness at both 120 and 180. I can see a difference in uncalibrated and calibrated switching, but its all the same effect no matter what settings i put it at. There is always a pinkish overlay. When u look at bright white it looks pinkish. Please help. Thanks > May I join this thread? First, could I clarify how to install Spyder3 Elite4 upgrade? I bought my Studio SR kit just over a month ago so qualify for (and have received) my free upgrade serial number. After first installing the software from the CD I have updated that software so that I presently have Spyder3 Elite 3.1.4 and Spyder3PrintSR 4.1.1 installed. Do I need to uninstall the previous software before installing the latest version of Elite, or can I install "over the top"? I take it that any existing profiles are undisturbed? Like Aram though, I have a monitor colour cast problem after calibration - in my case a "greenish yellow". I've repeated the calibration many times with the same result. I'd like to install the version 4 software to see if that resolves the issue. Kind regards John Gruffydd Mold, Wales, UK
