Hi, I'm having this same problem on my Dell 2709W screen. After calibration with the new software I notice a distinct warmer (read magenta/pinkish) case to the spyder proof images... I have raised a ticket already but has anyone come up with a solution of of interest? I did notice on the ambient light analysis screen a white point of 5800 was suggested rather than the 6500 which I thought was standard (and have been using for a long while) for photo editing work... I'm having a hard time calibrating it. Its the only USB port connection at the time of all calibrations, but I always get very similar results. There is always this pinkish effect on the display. Do you have any ideas? If you have tested this monitot what settings do you recommend in regards to Gamma and brightness as well as RgB settings. Please help me out. > > Thanks! > > Sincerely, > > Aram Melkoumov > President > Identity Apparel Inc. > www.identityapparel.com > > On 2010-05-01, at 17:17, Cdtobie <CDTobie@...> wrote: > > >>A couple of questions came up on a thread at dpreview.com : Can the Spyder3Elite 4 turn down luminance on monitors that are "too hot" (such as many 20/24" Glossy iMacs). For non-Mac displays, it all works the same except it has you adjust the brightness control, instead of the software doing it for you. > > Our testing and independent reviews of the new software on wide gamut displays both show very good results. David Brooks of Shutterbug (a tough critic by any standards) just reviewed it and gave it top scores, including on wide gamut. There is a link to his review on our website, if you are interested. NorthLight-Images has also been testing with good results, and should have a review up soon. > > C. D.
