A follow-up on calibrating projectors, if I may. I've just read the website
and the Spyder2Pro userguide and still can't see how the Spyder is used to
calibrate a projector. Does it sit on top of the projector, or on a tripod
near the screen (avoiding its own shadow). Just thinking about ease of use
when giving talks to camera clubs in different halls with different
projectors.
It sits on a tripod, near the screen, front and center (there's a tripod attachment included). The only hard part is convincing users that its okay for the Spyder to cast a shadow on screen... which (for obscure color science reasons) has no significant effect on what its doing.
