Update, about two hours later - I tried again, this beinng about my fourth try, but this time things worked. As far as I can tell, I did nothing different this time, but the sensor was recognized and the activation number went in just as it should. So - that problem is solved. --- In datacolor_group@yahoogroups.com, "bill_hansen20012001" <b2hansen@...> wrote: > > Following recommendation given elsehwere in this forum, I'm trying to upgrade from Spyder3Elite v 3.1 to v. 4.x. I downloaded the upgrade version and paid for it. The Sensor was always detected in v 3.1.4, but when I try to start v 4.0.2, (with the sensor plugged in to the same USB port on the computer (not a hub)which I always used with v 3.1.4) I get the error message "sorry but no sensor was detected...." . This message has some codes at lower left: "Spyder3.cpp137" and below that "131331 0x20103". > > Just to be clear - v 3.1.4 was uninstalled, computer restarted, v 4.0.2 installed while sensor was NOT connected to PC, then after starting v 4.0.2 the sensor was connected. All setup instructions were followed. In the Setup dialog screen under "Port", USB was selected. Under "Sensor" the only choice was Spyder3, and that was selected. >
