Hello, Will this upgrade work with Window 7? "PrintFIX PRO" as a name went away a few years ago when we changed the naming on the software to Spyder3Print (and which will now be SpyderPRINT, as soon as I've uploaded the latest set of installers). If so (the last version of PrintFIX PRO was 2.1), you've missed the 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2 versions of the software. (The fact that we added "SR" to the name for the 4.x versions is that we added support for the newer SR "strip reading" spectro. But the updated software continues to support all of the original DC1005 spectros that had shipped with the earlier Print and Studio bundles). "Today", if you're still running PrintFIX PRO-named software, you should get the Spyder3Print SR 4.2.2 installer from the Datacolor site, download and run it and that will get you "up-to-date". When I post the next modified installer and set of software with the "SpyderPRINT" name change, I'll be bumping the version up to 4.2.3 to go along with the name change. (But there are no new "features", changes, or bug fixes in the upcoming 4.2.3 version, this is all just about changing the name) One other comment for anyone reading this. If you have the Windows version of the software, the best way to upgrade is as follows: - Unplug the spectro - Uninstall your existing version of the software. If you have measurement files saved, don't worry - they'll stay "in place" and the new version should locate them and hook back into them once installed. - Download the new installer and run it (with the spectro still unplugged) - Reboot - After Windows is finished starting up again, plug the spectro back in. You should get the usual notifications about new hardware being located; and then, available for use. - Run the new version of software and you'll be up and running again. - Also, download and read through the Update Notes file so that you can see what's changed over the past few versions.
