If one has Spyder 2 Pro will one be
able to download an upgrade incorporating SpyderPro 2.2 or will I have to
purchase new software?

It will release (and be available from the CV websites) after completion of translations and related testing (we're well on our way through that already). It will ship in product boxes sometime thereafter, given the production and delivery timelag.
