If the Spyder3 LUT load has been mucked with by some other software so that it is no longer loaded would the Spyder3 Utility "Explain Status" option show that the Spyder 3 loaded LUT is no longer active?
It would be wonderful if live worked that way. But LUT data is anonymous. So the only way to know if what is in the LUT matches what is in the profile is to call it up from both places, and do a comparison. Given that its faster and simpler to just flash the data to the LUT again instead, thats what we do. Except for that small number of users who have a compulsion to shut down every utility they can, to save cycles, or be in more control, or whatever, who turn off the LUT reload function. Short answer, again: Turn on the LUT reload function, and don't worry about it. If your screen makes an odd flash every minute with it on, then you have some other utility aggressively trying to control your LUTs, and you need to find it and disable it. If not, then all is well with the LUT reload function on.
