This is still Bill, the OP. The sensor for my SpyderPRINT is still not routinely recognized by my computer. About one time in twenty, it's recognized, but even then, pressing the button on the top of the sensor doesn't allow the sensor to emit light, so of course the sensor can't measure.
The USB port is a good one. Several other appliances are recognized by it, and they work normally when they're connected. Other USB ports on the computer also fail to recognize the SpyderPRINT sensor, and they're also in good working order.
I have a running conversation with DataColor support, by way of a support ticket. I get about one reply per week, each one asking for a different sort of data, often data which I've already supplied. Some data, such as a serial number on the bottom of the sensor, does not exist in my copy of the SpyderPRINT program and sensor.
This is an excellent advertisement for other sources of printer profiles. Fortunately I am able to purchase professionally made profiles from another source, so I'm able to print. I wonder what folks do after they've spent the big bucks on SpyderPRINT and they're unable to purchase professionally made printer profiles.
