I don't know if this is helpful but go to http://www.josephholmes.com/ 
and go to his gallery. Have a go at soft proofing the images: Elegant 
trees... and Eagle Lake, Acadia...

My profile for epson archival matte murders the leaves on the trees in 
the first one and the greenish blue areas of the second.

That said, neither of these shots looks natural and I would love to 
see how they come out printed by him. When I soft proof using the 
epson  supplied profile it just mutes down the  highly saturated 
colours but keeps them in the same relationship to each other.
