I'm talking about the original printfix that comes w/ the funky 
little black scanner.  It simply didn't make very good profiles.  It 
was a cheap item, but I expected more.  In fact, after trying it a 
number of times (and even making a little guide to feed the targets 
straight) I gave up on it.  I'll sell it cheap if you're interested.  
As for specific complaints... dead images, loss of detail in 
highlights and shadows.  I have some professionally made profiles to 
compare it against, so I'm pretty sure of my displeasure.  As a 
suggestion, I think CV should have offerred an upgrade immediately to 
its poor, suffering customers.  Or at least say what the discount 
will be so that we're not in limbo and can purchase something without 
waiting so long.
