Re: PFP+PSCS2+Canon i9950=yellow cast in prints

2006-04-11 by Johnny Eades

Hello Stephen,

I too ran into a similar situation when first using Printfix Pro to
create a printer/paper/ink profile. It was s misunderstanding on my
part on where to apply the printer profile and when. I found that when
using Photoshop, it had to be done at the very beginning of the
workflow. This is the method that worked for me.

Open your image in photoshop and then Edit>Convert to Profile:Costco
Glossy Paper
View>Costco Glossy Color (this can also be chosen by Ctrl-Y (windows
if you have used the profile before)
Print with Preview>Options>Color handling--Let Photoshop determine
colors. Printer Profile>Costco Glossy Color
Then go through your usual Page setup and then print your image. Your
yellow cast should go away. I had a blue cast and this solved that
problem and led me to my color world after working in BW for 40 years.

Your friend in Photography,

Johnny Eades
