Inkjets are very stable over time, I have no qualms about using a year old profile, if the inks and media are consistant. A laser, on the other hand, really deserves to be profiled everytime a front comes through, and the humidity changes... Photolabs are really a matter of chemical consistancy; if they are linearized well after each adjustment of chemicals, then a profile can be used indefinately, unless type of photo paper or chemicals used changes.
