With bulk ink systems, the problem is less the batch to batch consistancy, but settling, evaporation, and line conditions. Many bulk users don't really use as much ink as they should with a bulk system, and depending on the ink type may have one or another of the problems noted above. If you don't print enough to empty the bulk system every three months, you should consider whether a bulk system is really for you, or whether carts will be more foolproof for your lower printing quantities.
