You haven't mentioned what type of monitor...LCD or CRT? Unless you have a very high end LCD than it's best to avoid the RGB sliders. Set them to 100% and let the Spyder build the profile. I have a medium priced LCD and tried many different settings, here's what works for me: Gamma: 2.2 White Point: Native Luminance Mode: Measured Black Lum: 0.30 White Lum: 130.00 Gray Balanced Calibration: ON Just for the heck of it I did try setting the RGB sliders, but grayscales had color banding. The above settings work well. If you have a CRT try using the 6500 preset and don't worry about the RGB sliders. You might have to try a few different settings until the monitor looks good. My test is viewing a 100 patch grayscale and checking for non-neutral patches. Also read the help files...the latest one is in the Files section here.
