Re: [colorvision_group] To C.David Tobie - Produc t Technology Manager

Hi David,
I was under the impression that software upgrades were available on colorvision's website and in order to download them, you just needed to enter your current serial number. Am I correct?

Your answer to my question regarding software updates (message 833

I did ask the same question through customerservice@...
about a week ago and got a negative answer today from a certain Bob
from the colour vision customer support ("NO, software switches prevent
this.")

This is very unfortunate since, in the mean time and according to what
you told me, I have already ordered my SpyderExpress from B&H in NY,
thinking that I would update at later stage.

Can you please check again and let me know for sure?

I'll speak with customer service about what info they have in their knowledgebase, but the fact is that Spyder2express, Spyder2, and Spyder2PRO all use the same hardware; all that is needed is a software upgrade, and new serial number.
