Checking for correct measurement

Checking for correct measurement

2006-08-02 by ed_limmy

Hi David,
Currently the only way to check if the patches have been read correctly
is to bring up the measured patches to the screen within PFP and
compare that with the patch print.

Can there be a more automated way? Like can there be a function to
check if the patches are read well - just click and it'll tell us the
reading is ok.

Okay compared to what? Given that they will be different with every
printer, ink, and paper, its difficult to define what Okay is...

How hard is it to just read the right patches in the first place,
instead of expecting the software to babysit the process? I don't get a
bad patch in a thousand, and when I do, visual checks show me where the
error is.
