Larger Square patch?

Larger Square patch?

2006-08-04 by ed_limmy

Hi David,
I have minimise the margins as much as possible but the patches are
still a pretty tight fit when the spectro is placed on top of it.

There is a lot of white space around the outside of the entire patch
squares. Could this be minimise with a larger square? give us a choice
of square sizes - standard or large.

Thanks.

Ed.

With proper margins, most users find them quite easy to read...

You have such choices, the patches are resized on the fly specifically
to your paper size and margins.

The only control we have over that is the margins.

If you make them as small as possible, for instance: 0; then you should be
able to get the targets to print very close to the edge of the paper.

What are your margins set to, and why do you still end up with a lot of
white space around the entire target...?

I'm having exactly the same problem. If've set the margins to 3mm each side
and I'm getting a large white border 12mm left and right, 25mm top and 32 mm
at the bottom Margins all sides at 0 produces 12mm left, 17mm right,
23mm top
and 42mm at the bottom. All this with an Epson Stylus Photo 2100 under
Win-XP.
For me, this all don't make any sense. Is it a bug or is it a problem
with the 2100?

Regards,

Ronald

Hi David,
I have already set the margins to zero where then the printer driver
then reset it to the minimum.

What I mean is that there is still a lot of white space, the patches
themselves dont seem to be that much larger. While this can be good to
save ink but pls give us a choice of large patch if we want to.

at the minimum margins already I still see lots of space for the
patches to 'grow'.

We'll take a look at this and let you know. If there's something in the
Windows version that's preventing the margins feature from working
correctly, then it's a bug, not a feature...:-)
