Profiling a HP B9180 printer

Profiling a HP B9180 printer

2006-10-01 by peter_woelk

Hello Forum,
I'm using PFP from It's first availability here in Germany. I mostly
profiled Canon printers with great success. Now I have an HP B9180 and
also great trouble profiling it with any, even HP papers. I tried
everything, 225 patch target, 729 patch target. Nearly all availabe
driver media settings.
The resulting profiles all lack highlights (awful). Matte papers more
than glossy or satin. What am I doing wrong?

Best regards,
Peter

That smile means: "it's working!" with the latest PFP 2.0b5.

(I'll say it for you, Peter...:-), we're glad to say this much publicly,
and we've said so in a few other places on the web).

Anyone who has the HPB9180, please email me off-list at davem@...
so I can give you a link to 2.0b5, if you're not already on the beta list.

Best regards,

...yes, it's working now.
Thanks Dave, thanks C. David, that was "accomplishment on demand".
Never ever had such an experience with a companies customer care.
Continue this way please...it's the right way!

Best,
Peter
