yes I believe what you're reporting and I also believe what David
says, thats not the question here. But delivering such a detailed
help file with such an important mistake which fooled me in a way and
prevents me trying it out by myselfe makes me ANGRY !!! :)

The info in this section of the help is unchanged from version 1. The changes we have made in version 2 offer lots of advantages and additional control. But we were unaware, at the time the help was finalized, that there was any effect to the print from adjustments to Ref White. These adjustments may well be a good thing, not a bad thing; and from the description involved are a small thing, where the precision of v2 would be needed before it would even be an issue. So I assume that this is all moving in the right direction, more control, more tools, more precision; its just a bit ahead of the documention. It takes a bit of time to map new territory, after you first arrive there. We're still mapping.

I would of saved a couple of forest worth of trees had I known
this before! It was almost to the point that I was going to go back
to older version of PFP. So before I go any further what is the best
way to measure Ref White of the paper? Should I just use the measure
tool and plug that number in? Wish I had found this forun a couple
weeks ago!

     Thanks

You don't need to measure anything; you've already measured the paper
white when you measured the target...:-) On the Build Profile screen, just
click the Ref White... button, and then check the box in the dialog that
pops up.
