I put several sheets under so it would not pick up anything from under it. The other things I was thinking is print 2 or three targets and tape them together?

Let me know if anyone else has had some success with profiling films.

You don't mention what you are profiling it WITH. I have to assume PrintFIX PRO, which of course isn't designed for transmissive profiling, so the hack is to profile it as reflective, and edit as needed. If your prints are too light, that means your target is too dark, which is exactly what I would expect. One trick is to lighten the target print in advance, by opening the target Tiff file in Photoshop, and moving the middle levels slider to make the target print lighter. Then there won't be as much adjustment needed when editing the final profile.
