PFP 2.1 - Printing patches on CD with R1800

PFP 2.1 - Printing patches on CD with R1800

2007-04-17 by florent_thouret

Hi,

I'd like to print CD patches on printables cd I use (verbatim).

I think I just have to print CD targets on cds. It's easy with the
software I must (???) use, "epson print cd".

But the problem is for after... it doesn't seem able to print using a
color profile.

So, how can I do ?

Thanks a lot for your help.
Florent

Yes, you should be able to place the CD art on the CDs that way. Its a bit disturbing that your software has no place to either apply or disable color management, but in such cases, you just print at the setting it gives you...

For such cases you then apply the color profile to the artwork in Photoshop, before placing in your CD software. To do this open the file in its proper colorspace (typically AdobeRGB, or perhaps sRGB), and use the Convert to Profile command to convert the image to "MyCDProfileRGB" instead. Then save this converted version for us in your CD software.

Let us know what difference (dare I say improvement?) this makes in your CD images.

Others may have suggestions of alternate software for CD printing; if thats possible.

Hi Florent.

Scrap the PrintCD software and use photoshop to print your CD¹s. Send me a
note offlist and I will send you a psd template for printing CD¹s on the
R1800.

Cheers
