Spyder Pro attachment

Spyder Pro attachment

2007-04-20 by Phiegze

I ordered the Pro upgrade for my Spyder.

I received a small plastic thingy about 1x1x2 inches and no
instructions.

Could someone give me a quick heads up on how to use it?

Thanks

The "thingy" you note can be attached to the Spyder a couple of ways, allowing it to be used to mount the Spyder on a tripod, or on large plasmas and other types of screens. The most common configuration would be to place the "thingy" on the leg of the Spyder with the cable coming out, under the cable, with the small latch in the cable hole. Used this way it becomes an extended leg with a suction cup on it, and a tripod attachment thread. This allows the large suction cup to be attached to Plasma displays and the like, even in situations where the cable can't be run over the top of the screen (in-wall units, for example). The internal threads allow a tripod to be attached, so you can place the Spyder in front of a projection screen, for projector calibration. There are other configurations, but that would cover the ones you are likely to have with Spyder2PRO use.

But doesn't work well for projection screens, and in-wall units!
