I believe that problem is  Windows only.  I haven't heard of any Macintosh users mentioning 
it. I have been using CS3 since the start of beta and have never (knock on wood) had any 
freezes.  Running a G5 with 8g of ram.

So far I've not had this or any other problem with CS3 on my windows 
machine. It works just fine. That said Bridge is another matter 
entirely. Some very odd things going on there.
