green colour printing wrong

2007-05-25 by tommy

I am using an R800 with spyder2express,just done a recalibrating of
spyder and hit a problem, now when printing on epson premier glossy
using the r800 profile for this paper whatever I do the greens in the
print show no detail and are not the same colour as on the
monitor.settings I am using are as follows
epson r800 profile
high speed "off"
icm ..no colour adjustment.

these settings work ok with any print done without "green" in it it is
only the green that is the problem

Hi,

Have you profiled your printer too. Is the profile you are using currently
correct. If you answer yes to both, kindly check if there is any problem
with the ink cartridges.

Calibrating your monitor doesn't directly effect printed output. In fact, for a precorrected standard test image (such as the PDI image bundled in the Test Image folder with your software) the monitor profile plays no part at all. So if the greens look right on screen, and don't print correctly, make sure your printer is running ok, all colors printing cleanly, and then consider using a custom printer profile to see what improvments that offers in your prints, and your print to screen matching.
