Sorry, your sensor does not support this type of display

Sorry, your sensor does not support this type of display

2007-06-06 by rhy7s

I get the cosmetic Error 6 (SpyderUSB.cpp 175) at startup with version
2.2 and 2.3.5 of the software. The bigger problem is that I can't run
the profiling utility, I get the error "Sorry, your sensor does not
support this type of display". I've tried forcing the 2.2 driver in
2.3.5 and vice-versa and there never seems to be a problem reported in
device manager. So instead I've used the trials from BasICColor and
ColorEyes but they've obviously expired now, so I'm having another go
at the ColorVision software. I've seen similar discussions around the
web but haven't found a resolution, I tried emailing ColorVision but
haven't received a response. I figured there's probably a bit more
experience to draw on in this group, so thought I'd ask here.

These are two totally different drivers; loading one over the other has caused problems. You need to send an email to the colorvision.com support ticket system to get assistance in removing all vestiges of them before doing a clean install of the latest version.
