"Save Measurements" box grayed out

"Save Measurements" box grayed out

2007-11-16 by jwinberg1

Hi:

Win XP Pro, SP2

SpyderPrint3 Version 1.70

The "Save Measurements" button is grayed out, it seems stuck into
thinking I already have a measurement file.

Any hints around this?

It's stuck into thinking that your spectro isn't connected...:-)
It can't save any measurements if it doesn't think you have a way
to measure...:-)

You don't have the spectro connected; or if you do, you didn't have
it connected when you launched the software. Or, there's some communication
problem preventing it from being recognized over USB.

Try this, assuming you've got the spectro plugged in: go into Preferences,
switch the popup to Spectro; do you get the serial number and firmware rev?
If so, you're all set, go back to the Read Patches screen and the controls
will be activated.

if not, it can't see the spectro, something is wrong with USB, or the USB
driver.

Already answered this for you on the support system: you have the lower section, for using existing measurement sets selected, and are trying to work with things in the upper section (for creating new measurement sets) instead. Just click the upper radio button, and the features you want to access will become... accessible.
