iMac Monitor Calibration - Running Windows XP Under Parallels

iMac Monitor Calibration - Running Windows XP Under Parallels

2008-01-25 by davedoughman

I calibrated my iMac monitor under Leopard 10.5 but where does it
store the monitor profile? I need to direct Qimage (A Windows only
printing program) to the correct monitor profile.

It's great having two operating systems on one computer - I hope! But
an interesting learning curve.

Found the answer. Choose No Profile! Than I don't have to worry about double profiling.

The Mac OS profile is located in the ColorSync Profiles folder at your root level Library. QImage has to run under Windows, so you would need to put the profile (or ideally a Windows generated profile) in the Color Directory under your version of Windows. There are issues with video corrections under an emulated OS. QImage will get the profile, but the videocorrections will have been flashed to the screen under the Mac OS, so its half from one side, and half from the other, and a bit of faith that the two coordinate properly.

But you were asking about display profiles, not printer profiles, weren't you? The title says iMac Monitor Calibration...
