hp lp2475w pink / magenta cast after calibration with Spyder3 Pro

hp lp2475w pink / magenta cast after calibration with Spyder3 Pro

2009-03-06 by acolasm

Hi all,

I have found this group and I hope I can get some help, as I am getting desperate.

I have bought a HP lp2475w monitor and a Dell 2209wa together with a Spyder3 Pro. I can calibrate the Dell with no problem and it gives me beautifull colors and perfect B&W but the HP is killing me.

It has a very strong magenta cast after calibration. I have tried it in 2 different HP monitors, as the first one had some problems and I had to send it back. I have used the 3 different cables, DVI, VGA, HDMI. I have used the 6500k and the custom RGB configurations in the monitor. I have tried calibrating without any other USB devices connected.

The result is always the same as soon as the profile is generated everything turns pink.

Does anybody have any suggestion? I don't know what to do anymore. Many thanks in advance for your help.

Best Regards,
Ángel

Tell us a little more about your computer setup. Are you running Windows or Mac and what OS? Also what graphic card(s) are you running?

Welcome to the group!

Thank you for the wellcome.

I am running Windows Vista x64 on a quadcore 6600 and the grafic car is a Nvidia 9800GT with 1GB RAM.

The problem is only when I calibrate the HP, it does not matter if it is in dual monitor set up or as a sigle monitor. I bought the HP first and a couple of weeks later the Dell. The HP always had problems and the Dell is fine. As I already mentioned I have had 2 different HPs and both had the same problem with the calibration.

What if you switch DVI ports...does the HP still act up running out of the port the Dell was working? Of course profile after the switch.
