Spyder3Pro - comment on "prompts"
2009-05-27 by Doug Kerr
Hi, David, Just an editorial comment on the prompts on one screen of Spyder3Pro (3.0.7). On the first screen, in the case of a monitor that has already been calibrated, the prompts say (I have added the reference numbers): [1] This display has previously been calibrated [2] To check whether it is still in calibration, mark the appropriate radio button. [3] To change the settings, mark the appropriate radio button. Prompt "3" is inappropriate for this screen. There are no buttons on this screen related to whether or not to use the existing settings (an issue that relates to recalibration). Probably the third prompt should read: [3A] To recalibrate the display, mark the appropriate radio button. If one in fact marks the button ReCal - Recalibrate, and proceeds, then on the next screen, one has the ability to choose to either proceed with the existing settings or adopt new settings, and the prompts on that screen are appropriate to that.
