I've seen a number of posts saying the Spyder 3 works well with LED backlit screens. Is the same true for the Sypder II? I'm picking up a 17" MacBook tomorrow and wonder if I need a new Spyder. Thanks

The Spyder3 has advantages with wide gamut displays, but the Spyder2 should not have any particular problems with LED backlights. MacBooks aren't wide gamut; just LED, so you should be okay. C. D. I have a month-old MacBook Pro 13" which I just profiled with
Spyder3Elite. I don't know whether the improved displays include
this model but if so, I'll send you the profile if you tell me
where the file is stored.

The display profile is stored in one of two places: Macintosh Harddrive --> Library --> Colorsync --> Displays or: YourUserHomeName --> Library --> Colorsync --> Displays
