PrintFix Pro Comparing existing profiles?

PrintFix Pro Comparing existing profiles?

2006-03-16 by wye4knot

Is there a way to compare two profiles measured with PrintFix Pro?
A utility would be useful to show up differences or simularities.

Trying to track down weird colors when using the profiles.

Thanks,
Chas

Chas,
if you're using Windows XP you can download a Power Toy named
Win Color or similar from the microsoft pages. It works well for me!

You could use a profile utility like the free ColorSync utility under OS X, or the not free ColorThink Pro application from Chromix. But I suspect you are talking about comparing the measurement files, not that profiles. ColorThink would do that as well, though a simple Excel spreadsheet would also allow comparisons of values. If there is enough demand I can load Excel spreadsheets for this to the files site.

Let me add my 50 demands to the list. I for one would deeply
appreciate all the help I can get to understand this color world. I'm
migrating into it from 40 years of BW

Your friend in Photography,
Johnny

Hey guy's I know a good speech therapist who can help you with the
stuttering. I still still still still still stutter sometime myself.

--- --- --- ---

I realy enjoy this group and the great exchange of information and
help thanks everyone.

On another note CD you may want to start a "Wish-list" thread so all
of us in the PFP community can have a voice in what we would like to
see in future releases of PFP, hummmm?

Ok, back to staring at the Granger Rainbow JPEG, reminds me of some
good times in the 80's, lol

Me too. Everyone here brings something valuable to the table. My non
ink-splashing printer thanks everyone! Technical support from Epson
was completely useless but the members here had the perfect solution :-)
