No DataColor support??

No DataColor support??

2010-09-27 by bill_hansen20012001

My copy of Spyder3Elite no longer displays the adjustment screens for contrast and brightness, without which the monitor calibration program is not useful. I've written back and forth to this group earlier in the month, but we haven't been able to resolve this. I wrote out a support ticket to DataColor on Sept 16 but there has been no reply. Since it's now been 11 days, I have to assume they aren't going to reply.

This morning I tried to request telephone support - an expensive option, at $100 an episode - but I need to calibrate the monitor! The DataColor site keeps asking me to "refresh my order" and then supplies an error message, something about backordered products being delivered when they are available.

Obviously this is not satisfactory. Can anyone enlighten me on the availability of DataColor support options? While (naturally) I would rather not pay $100 to resolve this, I'd do so if it's the only way.

The type of support you are looking for is free; its teaching people color management in general, or as related to non-Datacolor products would be the type of thing that would not necessarily be free.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
