>>Should the profiles created by a Spyder3 be superior in some way compared to those created by a Spyder2 Pro?
There are a whole raft of improvements between Spyder2 and Spyder3 hardware (more sensitive sensors, larger aperture, narrowing sampling angle, etc), and improvements between S2 and S3 software as well. If you have a small gamut, well mannered display, with a wide viewing angle, you may get a very usable profile from either, but as the challenges increase, the improvement becomes more noticable. The iterative color balancing in the newer Spyder3Elite software is something I would not want to be without.
