Massive changes since upgrading to Mountain Lion

Massive changes since upgrading to Mountain Lion

2012-07-27 by kickass_photos

Greetings all,

I have been using my Spyder4 Elite for a couple of months now to calibrate my Early 2011 MacBook Pro and my ASUS PA246Q.

Normally, I have been getting 100% sRGB on the ASUS and 96% sRGB on the MBP however since upgrading OS last night, the closest my MBP display will get is 70%.

Also, I have found in the past that I can change the display modes of my ASUS monitor to "Theatre" or "Scenery" etc, and when I measure it with the colorimeter, it still maintains that the white point and Gamma are correct, when the diffeerences are quite stark.

I'm really unhappy with the inconsistency of this product and am wondering if anyone else suffers the same issues, or it is just me and I am missing something in my process.

Any help would be appreciated.

Rob.

Seems like Mountain Lion is buggy as all heck from what I've been reading over the net. Apple might have changed the color management pipeline once again. Let's give all developers a break since ML just came out 2 days ago. I'm going to wait until 10.8.1 update.

I do a lot of Giclee printing of Original Art and I always wait to at lead Version 3 of every new operating system. Even then I make sure that I always have a backup hard drive that I can go back to.

cheers
