Yellow Tint on my Dell Inspirion 17 r

2014-08-24 by darkuser089@...

Hi :)

i have a little problem. I bought a Spyder 4 Pro and try to calibrate my LCD Monitor and my Laptop. The LCD Monitor calibration went well but on my Dell i have a yellow tint. I can do and change what i want, i always get a big yellow tint in the calibration... I spend 100€ on this so i dont expect to be the best thing in the world, but i expect to work... Can someone help me? What can i do?

Sry for my english ;)

Thanks

I was having major problems getting my brand new, but cheapo monitor (Viewsonic 2730) calibrated too.... and I sent many a angry email to their tech support. After 2 lengthy phone calls from an Oliver Mews (who called me from Europe!), the Senior Manager of Datacolor’s Global IMS Support (from Europe) –graciously taking nearly 2 hours to walk me through the nuances of monitor calibration (and in fairly good English I might add )

But the bottom line is --no calibration is going to work with cheap monitors. My words, not his.

I will share with you an eBook link Oliver sent me (and also authored). Which will VASTLY help give everyone an understanding of color calibration.
It requires you sign up for their emailer but he assured me it was not a spam email but rather contained lots of pertinent info.
