[disklavier] Great work...

1999-11-29 by Danny Simpson

Todd,

You show great initiative in getting an idea growing and going!

I spent some time this weekend going through my various folders in search of
'non-classical' material to contribute. Most of the things that I have reside by
far in the 'classical' classification. The ones that I do have that are
'non-classical' MIDI files I have purchased mainly through PG Music which
unfortunately do not fall into the public domain. If anyone is interested, they
can be found at http://www.pgmusic.com/. Some of their items will not play on
the disklavier properly without some MIDI channel editing either on the
disklavier itself or easier yet, using a computer based sequencer program...

Question, is there a general consensus of the group of what type(s) of music
that need to be submitted? Are there any general rules that need to be set up
for organization such as what topics are off base for this group? Can we have
constructive reviews of submitted material? How about those that have purchased
a disklavier for learning how to improve their playing? Can anyone suggest third
party educational programs? Remember, we have both Mac and PC types here if you
do have a computer at home...

I am in process of searching for material that I can contribute to the group.
Thanks again for getting the ball rolling and for the material that has already
been submitted.

Danny
