I just checked out a DC5A for sale, which had a number of problems. In addition to not having been tuned in over six years, the Mark III CD player drawer would not open (the yellow light flashes a few times but that's it) and the floppy drive would not pop out the disk. I know that one option is replacing it with the DKC-850 Control Unit. But that's a bit pricey (is it $1,500?) By the way, if I wanted to go that route, where can I buy one? But I'm wondering if it's possible to repair or replace the CD player and floppy drive so that they'll open up.
